Darling restored 2-family house in a cul-de-sac in a
quiet area. Just ½ block
from St. Joseph’s grade school. The house was taken down to the studs
and rebuilt in 2006 and 2007. New kitchen and bathroom, new electrical
including new circuit boxes, plumbing, heating, drywall, carpets and
flooring. The exterior has a new roof,and a fresh coat of paint. Windows are all new and tilt in for easy
cleaning.
Antique staircase with ornate spindles was lovingly restored
in dark and medium mahogany stain. Original front door with beveled
glass. Antique woodwork restored (stripped and painted) where
available. We were able to save about ½ of the original woodwork,
which we stripped of the old paint before we repainted it. The
remainder of the woodwork is new. Quiet
hill top location gets a nice breeze. Ceiling fans in all rooms. I didn't
even need A/C last summer.
There is parking for 2 cars in the front
driveway. The house sits on a corner lot and there is street access to
the back yard for additional parking.
Great place for new homeowner just learning about house
maintenance, or for a retired person. Since almost everything is new, it
won’t require much maintenance.

The front yard is attractively landscaped with slate tile
sidewalk and raised flower beds. The beds sit back from the stone wall
making a lip where you can sit to tend the gardens, which is easy on the
back. We planted them
with marigolds and trailing petunias this summer and they were gorgeous.
