Rear basement
door. Since the house is on a hill, the basement is above ground in
the rear. There is a dirt floored subbasement under this.
When another basement
door is open, there can be a strong draft through here. One day, the
door slammed shut while I was standing in the opening. It throw me out
into the yard, knocked me out cold and broke my arm!
|
One of two side doors.
Note this door has
more paint because it is protected from the elements by an extended porch
roof.
|
We
never use this side door. The hallway it leads to will become a
bathroom. The entrance will be permanently sealed with drywall on the
inside, but the door will remain in place.
See the window on the right.
Two years ago we found poison ivy growing through a crack and into the old
bathroom inside!
